Return of the giants
About the event
The time travel begins 65 million years ago and follows the evolution of mammals and birds up to the last ice age 10,000 years ago. The exhibition begins with the asteroid impact that ended the age of dinosaurs, paving the way for the return of new giants. 300 large exhibits will take the visitors into the heart of Europe, which was covered by a tropical rainforest millions of years ago. Time jumps lead visitors to Australia, South America, and Africa—the cradle of humanity. The exhibition features life-sized replicas of massive animals: mammoths, marsupials as large as rhinoceroses, primitive whales, and a sloth that could rival elephants in size. The zoo aims for visitors to immerse themselves in these worlds, showcasing life as it was, is and will ever be, including scenes of hunting, courtship and raising offspring.
